I still go to school
This section is temporarily outdated, I currenty attend the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, which is situated in Bergen. I will try to update soon... I attend school at Bryne vidaregåande skule. In English it would probably be called something like Bryne Upper Secondary School. I started at Bryne in 2000. I was very nervous in the beginning, but now I'm not, and I think it is a terrific school with very nice students and some nice teachers as well. I'm going in class 3øac, we are 30 students -- 21 girls and 9 boys. When I started school I knew almost none of them, but now I know most of them, and I think we have a very special and uniqe class environment. The school subjects I'm taking this year are: Norwegian, History, P.E., Mathematics, Physics, Information Technology, and Religion. I enjoy working for students welfare, and I'm representing my class in the Student Council. I have also been elected Secretary of the board of the Student Council, in addition to being Student representative in the School Board. In Norway we are given grades from 0 - 6. 6 is the best, and 0 are given if you don't know anything. To pass in a subject you must have at least a 2. The grade 5 can be be given in all kinds of ways like this: 5/4, 5-, 5(-), 5, 5(+), 5+, 5/6. It shows how good a 5 the grade was. The grade 6 is very hard to get, at least compared to an A i America. Our 5 is probably on the same level as an American A. In the report card only whole grades can be given: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. This year 2003/04 will be my last year at Bryne, and as the Senior Class we're taking part in the traditional, Norwegian Russ celebration. I will be a blue Russ, and when the celebrations starts in April/May, I believe we're going to have lots of fun. Last updated: March 22nd, 2004 |
